Hindustan Motors Thursday launched the Mitsubishi Lancer Invex 1.8 with a price tag of Rs. 8.95 lakh ex-showroom Delhi and said it would be unveiling new models in the next fiscal. The company will continue to manufacture its existing model Lancer 1.5.
Hindustan Motors vice-president G. Shyamsundar said the latest Pajero version would be available to the customers from the middle of this year. He ruled out any increase in the prices of various variants of Lancer.
HM is in talks with five foreign carmakers, including Volkswagen, BMW and Proton for contract manufacturing at its existing facilities. "Nearly 40% of our Chennai capacity of 12,000 units per annum is unutilised," he added. |
