GROWTH STRATEGY: Launch of Lancer 1.8 INVEX forms a critical part of the Lancer growth strategy in the Indian market. Poised for a successful run in India, this top line model enables Hindustan Motors to significantly expand its customer base in India and add volumes to its sales kitty. The product offering effectively reaches out to a large discerning audience that demands a product with more vigour. Through a unique amalgamation of style, performance and utility, the Lancer 1.8 INVEX successfully delivers on the added benefit of superior value. "Hugely successful in many markets globally, the Lancer 1.8 has enthralled the world with its style, comfort, space and excellent handling. Owing to its impressive score on fuel economy and other performance parameters, we are confident Lancer 1.8 INVEX will be able to capture a dominant position in the Indian market as well. 'POWER' PRODUCT: For enhanced power and increased driving pleasure, Lancer 1.8 INVEX is powered by a 16-valve, 1834 cc SOHC Gasoline Engine (MPFi), delivering peak power of 120 bhp at 5500 rpm and maximum torque of 16 kg-m at 4500 rpm. To transfer desired power to the wheels, the new Lancer sports a state-of-the-art INVECS II-4 speeds Automatic Transmission with a manual override option (in the form of Sports Mode). With a top speed of 175 kmph, the zippy Lancer is ready to rule the roads.
SOPHISTICATED EXTERIORS & COMFORTABLE INTERIORS: Lancer 1.8 INVEX features trendy full wheel covers, integral headlamp with turn signal lamp and exclusive ornaments. A new look radiator grille and body coloured door mirrors and door outer handles, give the car an extremely elegant look. The chic rear combination lamp & garnish add to the new Lancer's sophistication.
The opulent interiors of Lancer 1.8 INVEX have also been revamped keeping in mind the overall package of style and substance. Available in three new exciting colours - August blue, Mystic silver and Angel white - the Lancer 1.8 INVEX comes with a warranty of 40,000 kms or 2 years, whichever comes first. Lancer 1.8 INVEX will be available across Hindustan Motors' network of 45 '3S' (Sales, Service and Spares) dealerships across the country. An extensive training programme for dealers is being implemented to meet the post sales requirement of the customers.
This extra powered sedan has been adapted for Indian conditions and is being manufactured at Hindustan Motors' state-of-the-art Chennai Car Plant at Thiruvallur. Company's Chennai Car Plant has been named as one of the best knockdown plant outside of Japan by Mitsubishi Motor Corporation.
